  • Entry fees: Handicap team match: 15 GBP (6 GBP juniors); Shogi for Beginners: FREE; Offial opening (including Shogi lesson): FREE; Simultaneous event: 10 GBP (4 GBP juniors); MSO Worldwide Blitz Championship: 13 GBP (5 GBP juniors); Demonstration game: FREE; European/MSO Worldwide Championship: 25 GBP (10 GBP juniors).

  1. The Shogi for Beginners session is only open to those who have never participated in an official Shogi tournament and have never been awarded a rank above 10 kyu by any Shogi organization or club in the world. No entry fee is required.
  2. No registration and no entry fee are required for the official opening and demonstration game.
  3. The European Shogi Championship (ESC) will be contested by the best 32 European nationals or residents (according to the official FESA Elo ratings list of July 1, 2000) that are present at the start of the ESC. The ESC is an integral part of the MSO Worldwide Shogi Championship (MSOWSC; open to everybody) and only involves a predetermined pairing of the best 32 Europeans for the first 5 rounds of the MSOWSC.
  4. The FESA meeting is only open to representatives of FESA member organizations.
  5. All other events are open to everybody irrespective of strength, nationality or residence.
