Right now I'm using this page only to distribute some files.

• Shogi font (bdf) for UNIX/X-window
  This font allows kterm to display Gote(White)'s pieces upside down, just like real boards. Also promoted silver/knight/lance have two kanji characters paired together as one character, e.g. "Nari(promoted)" on top of "Gin(silver)".
  Kanji code for upside down characters are in the range of 0x2721-0x272f
  Kanji code for promoted silver/knight/lance are:
  0x2739, 0x273b, 0x273d -- for white
  0x2759, 0x275b, 0x275d -- for black
  usage:
  % bdftopcf -o shogib16.pcf shogib16.bdf
% gzip shogib16.pcf
% su
# cp shogib16.pcf.gz /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/misc
