Subject: USA Shogi Tournaments

A response to Howard Wachtel question, "Are there Shogi Tournaments and
magazines in the States?"  The only big organized Shogi club that I know
of in the USA is the DC Shogi Club.  I recommend getting their Newsletter
for info. on Shogi in the US (at least the east coast).  It costs $8 for
the four issues published in the year.  The snail mail address is:

I am not associated with the club.  I don't know anything about tournaments
in the USA, but you could try contacting them for info. or maybe they have
