Greetings:

I am new to the list and thought I would introduce myself.

My name is Brannon Bain and I am from Tulsa, Oklahoma, USA.  I have just
recently found Shogi and am very anxious to learn the game.  Unfortunately,
I haven't found any players in my area yet so I am just trying to pick up
what I can about the game from wherever I can.  I have gotten quite a bit of
info from various sites on the Internet but am definitely interested in
picking up more.

If anyone is interested in helping me learn the game via e-mail I would be
very appreciative!

As for me personally, I am the Chief Instructor of the Thunder Eagle Martial
Arts Academy in Jenks, Oklahoma where I teach Tsunamido Kenpo Karate,
Bukendo, and Tasumaru Ryu Bujutsu.  Currently, many of my students are
expected to learn and play Western Chess in order to develop that part of
their strategic mind.  I hope, one day, to introduce Shogi to supplement, or
possibly replace Western Chess in this capacity.

I will soon be putting up a Shogi page on my domain (www.bujutsu.com) so if
any of you would like to contribute material or have Web Sites you would
like linked please let me know.
