I think this is a fair assessment.  Twice now the organizers have
deemphasized the actual location.  They leave it to the interested person
to try to find out where the event is actually held. They just keep saying
Chicago, Chicago, New York, New York, Mayor Giuliani welcomes you to NYC.
I don't know what they expect to accomplish by this.  I saw that it was in
NYC and discounted it.  I don't want to travel into the city.

Sadly, even this is true.  The organizers do not take criticism well.

Then there are the other problems...

Why would I invest money and time into an event that is run so sloppily?
(I say sloppily in order to be kind, I'm sure most people would think
there was nothing slopy about it.)
