Look at "the shortest possible game", one of the possible solutions,
invented by Belgian shogiplayer Eddy Verhaeven:

Helpmate in 4 moves:

1. P9f P5d
2. B9g S4b
3. Bx4b= K5b (impossible if bishop were promoted)
4. S*5c tsume !!
