As far as I can see, this GUI is for Windows only, which means that I can't use it. On the other hand, a description of the extensions to the protocol would be interesting. It is already beginning to look like my own protocol is doomed to failure (except possibly for use between my own engine and GUI). There have been some enthusiastic and encouraging remarks from a few people (mainly those who have some experience with computer chess, and therefore know what I am trying to achieve), but so far nobody seems interested in writing compatible GUIs for Linux or Windows. I suppose the best thing I can do is to shut up and start coding. :-) Tord --^---------------------------------------------------------------- This email was sent to: shogi-l shogi net EASY UNSUBSCRIBE click here: http://topica.com/u/?a2i6Ys.aBVYf3.c2hvZ2kt Or send an email to: shogi-unsubscribe topica com For Topica's complete suite of email marketing solutions visit: http://www.topica.com/?p=TEXFOOTER --^---------------------------------------------------------------- ------=_Part_11700_16757866.1170158438504 Content-Type: text/html; charset=ISO-8859-1 Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit Content-Disposition: inline Hello Albrecht!

can't use it.  On the other hand, a description of the extensions to
the protocol would be interesting.
